Cancelling a Lendly loan, at every stage.
What 'cancel' means depends on where you are: before the money arrives, right after signing, months into the loan, or with a line of credit you no longer use. Each has a clean exit. Here they are in order.
- Before funding: contact support and withdraw; nothing is owed.
- Just after signing: your agreement includes a short window to return the funds and cancel. Check the exact period in the agreement.
- Mid-loan: there's no cancelling, but there's no penalty for paying off early. Get a payoff quote and close it.
- Payroll deduction: only your employer can remove the Lendly direct deposit, and the balance still has to be paid.
- CC Flow: bring the balance to $0 before a cycle closes, then ask support to close the line.
Stage 1: you applied but haven't been funded.
Until the money is sent, you can withdraw the application by contacting Lendly support through your account or the contact details on lendly.com. Nothing is owed. If you've already connected your payroll and set up the direct deposit split, ask your employer to remove it as well, so nothing routes to Lendly by mistake.
Stage 2: you signed and the money just arrived.
Lendly's loan agreements include a short cancellation window after funding during which you can return the amount you received and cancel the loan. The exact number of days and the return method are stated in your agreement, so read it first, then contact support immediately and get confirmation in writing. Spend any of the money and the option is usually gone.
Stage 3: you're months into a CC Connect loan.
A funded installment loan can't be cancelled, but it can be ended early at no penalty. Request a payoff quote in your account, pay that exact amount by the quote date, and the loan is closed. Because interest accrues daily, finishing early saves real money. Full payoff guide.
What not to do: stop paying and let the payroll deduction lapse. Missed payments are reported, fees and interest keep accruing, and the account can be sent to collections. If you can't pay, the right move is a hardship conversation with support before the next due date, not silence.
Stage 4: stopping the payroll deduction.
The split direct deposit is set up in your employer's payroll system, so Lendly can't switch it off; you or HR do that in the payroll portal or by form. Two things to know before you do:
- The debt doesn't go away. Removing the deposit only changes how you pay. Lendly will move you to bank-debit repayment, often at a higher APR, and you must keep paying on schedule.
- Do it after payoff, not before. The cleanest sequence is: pay off, confirm a $0 balance, then remove the deposit. If a paycheck slice still arrives after payoff, Lendly refunds it.
Stage 5: closing a CC Flow line of credit.
- Find your cycle close dateThe fee for each cycle is set by the balance at close, so timing matters more than the due date.
- Pay the balance to $0 before the closeAny balance under $25 at close means a $0 fee for that cycle.
- Ask support to close the lineWith a $0 balance you can request closure. An open line with a $0 balance costs nothing, so closing is a personal choice, not a financial one.
Questions people ask
Can I cancel a Lendly loan after signing?
Lendly's agreements include a short window after funding to return the funds and cancel. The exact period is stated in your agreement; contact support right away and confirm in writing. After that window, the loan can be paid off early at no penalty instead.
How do I stop Lendly from taking money out of my paycheck?
The payroll split lives in your employer's payroll system, so ask HR or your payroll provider to remove the Lendly direct deposit. The balance still has to be repaid; Lendly will move you to bank-debit repayment.
Is there a fee to cancel or pay off a Lendly loan early?
No. Neither product has a prepayment penalty. For a CC Connect loan, request a payoff quote and pay it by the quote date.
How do I close a CC Flow line of credit?
Bring the balance to $0 before the billing cycle closes so no further fee is charged, then ask support to close the line. Leaving it open at $0 costs nothing.
