Refinancing a Lendly loan: how to borrow again after 90 days.
Lendly allows one CC Connect loan at a time, but customers with a good payment history can refinance into a larger loan. Here's how eligibility works, what the numbers look like, and when it's smarter to leave the loan alone.
- You can't hold two CC Connect loans; refinancing replaces the current loan with a new, usually larger one.
- Eligibility typically opens after about 90 days of on-time payments; the offer appears in your account.
- The new loan pays off the old balance and sends you the difference; interest is charged only on the new balance.
- Refinancing restarts the front-loaded interest, so it costs the most when your current loan is nearly paid off.
How a Lendly refinance actually works.
CC Connect is a closed-end installment loan, so Lendly doesn't add money to an existing balance. Instead, when you refinance, Quill Bank issues a new loan, uses part of it to pay off what you still owe, and deposits the rest. From that day, interest accrues on the new balance only, and a new payment schedule starts through your payroll direct deposit.
- Build 90 days of on-time historyRefinance offers depend on your track record with Lendly, not just your original approval. Roughly three months of clean payroll payments is the usual threshold.
- Look for the offer in your accountEligible customers see a refinance option when they log in, sometimes with a pre-set amount. If you don't see one, support can tell you whether you're close.
- Pick the new amountMost customers move one tier: $1,000 to $1,500, or $1,500 to $2,000. The maximum is still $2,000.
- Sign, and check the payoff mathThe agreement shows the new loan amount, the payoff of the old loan, and the cash you'll receive. Your employer's payroll split is updated to the new payment.
What it costs: a worked example.
Say you took $1,000 at 199% APR and have made 13 of 26 bi-weekly payments. Your balance is roughly $640. Refinancing to $1,500 pays off that $640 and puts about $860 in your account. You now owe $1,500 on a fresh 26-payment schedule, so your bi-weekly payment rises from about $89.73 to about $134.59, and most of the next several payments are interest again.
Illustrative, at 199% APR with 26 bi-weekly payments. Your APR (typically 175%–225%), balance and schedule are set at approval.
When a line increase beats a refinance.
If what you need is flexibility rather than a lump sum, the CC Flow line of credit may fit better. Lines open at $300 to $1,500 and are reviewed periodically for increases up to $5,000. You draw only what you need, pay a flat fee per cycle on the balance you carry, and can bring the balance to $0 to stop the fees entirely. Because CC Connect and CC Flow are separate products, ask support whether you can hold both before applying.
Questions people ask
How soon can I refinance a Lendly loan?
Refinance offers usually open after about 90 days of on-time payments on your current CC Connect loan. The offer appears in your online account; support can tell you if you're close.
Can I have two Lendly loans at once?
No. CC Connect is one loan at a time. Refinancing replaces your current loan with a new one and pays off the old balance in the process.
Does refinancing hurt my credit?
A refinance is a new loan, so a credit check may be run. Continuing on-time payments after the refinance can help your payment history; missing payments would hurt it.
Is it cheaper to refinance or to open a CC Flow line?
For a one-time lump sum you'll repay over a year, a refinance keeps things simple. For smaller, repeated needs, a CC Flow line can be cheaper because you only pay fees for the cycles you carry a balance and can bring it to $0 between uses.
